Nearly 400 artistes from the north east would provide a glimpse of the traditional music, exotic costumes, folk dances and culture from the region at 'Octave 2010'.
"The festival is designed to introduce the cultural heritage of all the eight northeastern states -- Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur and Sikkim to rest of the country," the organisers of the show told reporters here today.
The event will see a special choreographed presentation of folk dances, followed by a musical ensemble and a grand finale, they said.
The event was introduced by the Ministry of Culture to promote the northeastern region.
