IMPHAL, Jan 25: First Khengjoy Block Sports Meet was concluded on January 23 at Molcham village of Chandel district. The meet that kicked of on January 18 was organised by KSO Khengjoy block under the sponsorship of Kuki Chief’s Association, Khengjoy block.
BDO of the Block, Md Nazimuddin and Finance Secretary of KCA Chandel, Seithang Haokip and Maj HS Rathore of 22 Grenadiers were the special invitees of the closing function, said a press release.
Khumkot Youth Club, Molcham Youth Club and Old Samtal Youth Club clinched winner, runners up and third position trophy respectively in the football competition.
In the men’s volleyball event, TS Laijang Youth Club adjudged winner, while New Samtal Youth Club and Lamphei Youth club got runners up and third position trophies respectively.
Sehao Youth Club won the women’s volleyball final. Khengjang Youth Club and Khengjoy Youth Club got second and third prize respectively.
KSO Khengjoy also felicitated meritorious students in the function. The organising committee extended gratitude to 22 Granediers for all the support and co-operation extended during the meet.
