First Peace Fellowship to be held in CCpur

Rengkai: The ‘First Peace Fellowship’ with a theme “Reconciliation, Conflict Resolution and Peace in Manipur with special reference to Southern Manipur” will be held on December 15 and 16 at Churachandpur Government College campus.

According to Glocal Volunteers, which is organising the event, five prmoniment resource persons will present their views on peace in Manipur with special reference to Churachandpur district. They are Dr. Leban Serto, Co-ordinator for Peace Studies, Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong; Mr. David Buhril, Chairman Sinlung Indigenous Peoples Human Rights Organisation; Pu Ngamkhohao Haokip,Chairman Kuki Research Forum, Manipur; Mr. Suanmoi Guite, Secretary General Zomi Human Rights Foundation; and Rev. Th. Mangthianlal, President & CEO/CEM Glocal Volunteers

“The objective of Peace fellowship is to build a platform for interaction, understanding, exchange and engaging for peace,” organising officials said.

The event is open to invitation only and five seats are kept vacant for peacemakers/activists.
