Imphal, August 05: Lenin H Kuki @ Timothy Haokip@ Leno, who had resigned as Organisation Secretary of UKLF, has issued a clarification regarding a news item published today in certain newspapers that he had been expelled from UKLF.
In a press release, he said, since the UKLF has accepted his resignation letter but categorically described it as termination from the party with invalid reasons, for the sake of Kuki revolutionary movement and the people, he would like to cite some of the reasons owing to such rational action taken by him.
He said, firstly, it has been known to all and sundry that the UKLF was created, funded, trained and indoctrinated by the NSCN (IM). Later on, with the support and command of the NSCN (IM), they expanded their operations. Though this unholy evil alliance has been strongly denied off and on by the Front, the truth is that the very birthright and ancestral lands of the Kuki people had been surrendered to the NSCN (IM).
Secondly, as the C-in-C Lhukhoson @ MT Nelson Thadou @ SS Haokip is a semi-literate, an ex-rifleman of Manipur Rifles with a poor educational background, he is allergic to rationalism, political discourse, open debates and positive criticisms within the party or from any civil and Chiefs' associations. This inborn traits and characteristics on the part of the C- in-C had led to undesirable consequences upon the Kuki society, Lenin H Kuki pointed out.
Thirdly, since its formation, the combined forces of UKLF and NSCN (IM) had fought against the Kuki revolutionaries, namely, KNA and KLA cadres, besides imposing a ban on Kuki Innpi Manipur, dos and don'ts, threats and shooting of KSO leaders, killing without fair trial of his subordinates/Kuki public leaders and officers, Lenin H Kuki related adding that even now, KSO Pallel (Molnoi) area remains banned and dissolved under the directive of the UKLF.
He further said that besides all these muscle-flexing and power show-off upon the Kuki society, even at a critical juncture when Th Muivah attempted to sneak into Manipur, the President of Kuki Inpi was given a tele-warning by the C-in-C of UKLF for holding Kuki national leaders' consultation in Imphal.
He said, as the saying goes, the people perish when there is no vision. Therefore as the UKLF has no vision and concrete policy except the "NAGALIM" issue, it is high time all sensible Kukis came together and stood resolutely for the cause of the Kuki nation, Lenin H Kuki asserted.
