Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh disclosed this while replying to a question by opposition leader O Joy of Manipur People’s Party in the State Assembly recently.
These bandhs and blockades have, Ibobi said, been called by numerous students’ organisations, civil societies, political parties and even underground groups with demands ranging from “purely localised issues to political, religious, administrative and other such matters”.
