IMPHAL, April 27: Various organizations have sent in their condemnation regarding the inhuman killing of T Chungsei Haokip.
Nationalist Congress Party, the main opposition party in Meghalaya today condemned the brutal killing of its senior leader in Manipur, Chungsei Haokip.
Haokip, the vice president of the NCP Manipur unit was shot gunned down by armed miscreants at tea shop in New Checkon, Imphal East district on Sunday.
“We strongly condemned the brutal killing of Haokip and we appealed to the Manipur government to take immediate steps to bring the perpetrators’ to justice,” NCP Meghalaya unit Spokesman James K Sangma said.
Meanwhile, the party sent its condolences to the family member’s of the slain NCP leader.
The Nationalist Congress Party today held a meeting to condemned the killing of T Chungsei Haokip at New Checkon, near his residence by some anti social elements.
The meeting, which was led by Radha Binod Koijam, president of the party while condemning the act, has termed it as a cowardly and dastardly act.
The party has as such demanded of the government to book the culprits without any delay and punish them severely under the law.
The party also observed a two-minute silence during the condolence meeting and prayed to God for the peace of the soul of the deceased.
In a joint press release the Kuki Inpi Manipur, Kuki Movement for Human Rights and the Kuki Students’ Organization general headquarters has also strongly condemned the assassination of T Chungsei haokip vice president NCP son of late Hemkholun Haokip at New Checkon by some unknown miscreants.
The joint release has stated that such acts of annihilation of such important person without prior caveat is not the remedy, rather it is the act of cowardice.
The release while appealing to the concerned parties to come out with specific clarification at the earliest has also appealed to individuals/ organisations not to repeat such action in the future.
The RJD Manipur State Unit has also strongly condemned the brutal and inhuman killing of T Chungsei Haokip who was the founder vice president of the party.
In a press release the party, while condemning the inhuman act has expressed their support and condolence to the aggrieved family.
In a separate release CORE- Centre for Organization Research and Education has also strongly condemns the killing of T.Chunsgsei Haokip. CORE shares the sadness of the bereaved family and demands the state government to book those found guilty according to the law for the end of justice.
