Imphal, March 22:In commemoration of the 175th anniversary of the Assam Rifles in the service to the nation, 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South), conducted a peace run at Keithelmanbi today.
Colonel S C Rana, KC, Commandant of 28 Assam Rifles and Thokchom Gambhir, Chairman, Moidangpok village flagged off the run for peace from Moidangpok ground, Keithelmanbi.
The run was conducted under three categories of 8-12 years, 13-18 years and 19 years and above male and a female category. It covered around six km from the Moidangpok Ground and was concluded at 28 Assam Rifles Battalion Headquarter. Winners and runners of both male and female categories were awarded by Colonel SC Rana.
