The existing branches and staffs are today unable to handle the daily bussinesses prompting many to complain on the ground that they have not been given proper attention. Some leave grudging while some said the SBI staffs were too proud in dealing with the public/customers.

Even the ATM unit which has been opened at STC are not accessible to the publics like in aother places and for that reason many has to wait from dawn to dusk just to ensure their savngs are withdrawn as per an old willy nilly person talking to correspondent.

This glaring instances with its associated problems is a cause of great concern for the publics here and the solution lies not on calling and talking through the lines of phone on the part of the SBI top brasses yet a very prgamatic approaches not looking at things only with profit motives . There has to be real concern for the customers hardshop who bank their money at the bank which is the sole cause for the bank existences according to sources from a customers.

More branches has to opened there with adequate staffs and opening of more SBI counters in association with a separate counter for the Old age pensioners as well NREGS Job Card holders.

In this connection the CDSU had also written to the assistant manager administartive office Region - V located at Meghalaya to comply with their request and then furnished infrastructures as per the needs latest by 30th Nov next warning with dire consequences in case of failure on the part of the authority.
