In a statement, senior information and publicity secretary of UKRA SS B Kom further said that it also the objective of UKRA to ensure protection of Komrem community as and when required. So, it is unfortunate that a handful of people is trying to malign the name of UKRA by indulging in monetary demand from the public and abduction for ransom in pursuance of their vested interest. UKRA has never indulged in such activities and would never do so in the future. UKRA would not forgive any group which tries to tarnish the image of UKRA.
Reacting to the allegation of abducting Dr Kunal Chakrabarti of RIMS, SS B Kom said that it is far from truth as UKRA has nothing to with any of the doctors of RIMS. So, the public should rest assure in this point.
