Kut messages from CM, others | RPF sends out Kut message

IMPHAL, Oct 31: Chief Minister, O Ibobi Singh has greeted the people of Manipur, particularly the Kuki-Chin-Mizo group on the joyous occasion of the KUT festival which is to celebrate tomorrow.

In his message, the Chief Minister said Kut festival is an occasion of thanksgiving to the almighty God for the bountiful harvest. While wishing the Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethren in particular, Ibobi mentioned that he is confident that the festival would not only be a binding force to keep the people of Manipur closer but a platform to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Kuki-Chin-Mizo people.

The best way to celebrate KUT is to strive for building a harmonious society and to work for strengthening the bond of amity, the Chief Minister said in the message.

In the meantime, the United Committee Manipur has also greeted the people of Manipur especially the Kuki Chin Mizo group on the occasion of the post harvest festival Kut.

UCM president Y Dilipkumar, in a message conveyed his wishes on the eve of the festival and further added that the communal harmony among the different tribes will be strengthened by observing the Kut festival.

RPF sends out Kut message
IMPHAL Oct 31: Revolutionary Peoples' Front (RPF) greets people of Manipur especially the Kuki-Chin-Mizo brethren on the occasion of Kut festival.

A Kut message sent out by outfit’s publicity secretary T Leisemba said Kut festival may brings peace and unity among the different communities of the state.

The outfit also said that Kut festival is no longer reserved for the Kuki Chin Mizo groups alone but also celebrated by people in totality.
