Diphu, Oct 3: Diphu police have rescue two Kuki girls namely Kikim Lenthang and Thimnu Hengna from a red-light colony of Siliguri town on September 30. The girls were earlier trafficked to a brothel in Siliguri town allegedly by one Gayatri Pradhan, after giving them false promise of lucrative jobs.
After observing necessary legal formalities both the girls were handed over to their respective guardians.
It may be mentioned that the two girls were among four who were sold to a brothel by the accused on two different occasions.
The other two girls who were yet to be traced were identified as Santi Bengra of Nagachan Dimapur and Remila Koya of Dawjingphang Dhansiri. Guardians of all the four girls have alleged that the victims were duped in prostitution.
