Among the high schools in Mizoram, Hmar Veng High School, Kolasib stood first while St Paul’s, Aizawl, topped in higher secondary schools category.
The competition was held in all the eight districts of Mizoram from August 17 to September 1 and the district winners had a grand finale at Aizawl on September 2 and 3.
It was conducted in Mizo language for high school students while the higher secondary students competed in English.
Besides, the scheme also acquaints the students with the practices and procedures of the Parliament, techniques of discussion and debate and develop in them the self confidence, they said. (UNI)
