RPF reminder to non-Manipuris

IMPHAL, July 30: The proscribed Revolutionary Peoples Front (RPF), in a statement, has reminded that the ultimatum given by the outfit to non-Manipuris to leave Manipur has expired on May 31 and the outfit would not be held responsible for any untoward incident which might happen against non-Manipuris who are continuing to settle as agents of India and those continuing to come unaware of the issue.

The RPF also maintain that the outfit would not be held responsible when action are taken against anyone who happen to harbour, provide shelter to non-Manipuris in any part of Manipur.

Regarding the non-Manipuris who settled before October 15, 1949 and being treated by the outfit as citizen of Manipur, the RPF asked them to register lists of their family members with the date of entering Manipur to the Bureau I & II of the outfit before October 14, 2010 failing which the outfit would initiate its own legal action, the RPF statement issued its publicity secretary T Leishemba said.

Maintaining that the RPF stands by its slogan ‘Eliminate enemy agents’, the statement said the outfit would take necessary action against anyone who acted as agents of the India government for these agents effectively coordinate and helps in counter insurgency operations carried out by Indian forces in Manipur.

The RPF statement further said the only way to safeguard indigenous Manipuri society is to break up congregation of Indian agents in Manipur and to eliminate all such agents. The outfit also asserted that a peaceful society in Manipur could be reinstated once the state is ruled on its own.
