Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): The Congress party in the state has unanimously decided to oppose the renaming of Dimapur. Opposition leader Tokheho Yepthomi said that a meeting was held in Dimapur Wednesday which came out with the resolution. The Congress unanimously voiced their opinions that historical and genealogical facts cannot be altered. The MLAs mooted for right of the minorities in the state. The Congress also denied that the matter was discussed in the Assembly or that a consensus could not be arrived at. MLA Hewoto Awomi said that the party, together with the citizens of Dimapur, will take action if the government decides to rename Dimapur.
