Tension in villages as Kuki UG factions clash

IMPHAL, April 28: Tension grips at Bungbal Khullen, Seichang and Suongthel villages under Yairipok police station in Senapati district as villagers of the area started fleeing their respective villages following continued skirmishes between suspected rival Kuki militants since yesterday.
According to a reliable source, the gun fight involving KNA/KLA, KRA and KNF (P) broke out since yesterday near Seichang and Suongthel village and there is report of about the KNF(P) loosing one cadre while sustaining bullet injuries to five others.

The deceased KNF(P) cadre could be one Sangminlun, 20, son of late Lalmang of Heikhen village, according to the source.
The injured militants whose identity remained unknown are reported to be taking shelter at nearby villages, said the source.
