Mizoram: Best of Asia Expo 2010 gets more visitors

Aizawl, April 12 (Zonet) – Visitors of the Best of Asia Expo 2010 – International Border Trade Show at Assam Rifles Parade Ground, Aizawl have increased substantially.

Our Correspondent who visited the expo today said, finished goods and articles are displayed in 78 stalls so far.

Of these, 23 are occupied by the traders from Thailand and the rest 55 are Indian stalls. As many as 49 stalls displayed good and articles brought from other states of the country.
The Best of Asia Expo 2010 – International Border Trade Show was inaugurated last Saturday by the Chief Minister, Mr. Lal Thanhawla.
In his inaugural speech, the Chief Minister said, the trade route to south Asian countries will be open up when Multi Modal Transport Project (Kaladan MMTP) passing through southern part of Mizoram is operational.
He also thanked Nirvana Pilgrims Society, Kolkata and Mizoram Entrepreneurship Network (MEN) for organizing the Expo 2010-cum-International Border Trade Show in the remotest part of the country.
