Aizawl, April 12 (Zonet news) – The Accountant General, Mr. Vishal Bansal asserted that the lapse of Government fund during the last financial year will not be lost forever and it is just a saving for the State. Talking to reporters in his office today, the Accountant General said, the fund which has lapsed by the end of the last financial year will however have to be reappropriated by the State Legislature.
On audit report and objections, the Accountant General said, the job of his office is to see that public money are utilized correctly and judiciously.
Whatever objection his office raised has to be noted and pursued by the Government Departments.
Explaining some audit objections reflected in the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India which was laid in the State Legislative Assembly recently, the Accountant General expressed regret over delay and inadequate attention paid by the Government Departments.
