Missing men not traceable

MOREH, Mar 9: Whereabouts of Moreh residents Semjathang Haokip and Ngamjathang Lhungdim remain unknown till date after the duo were allegedly tak-en away from their respec- tive homes on the intervening night of February 20 and 21.
Interacting with media-persons this morning, Hoi- khotin w/o Semjathang and Vaichin w/o Ngamjathang said complaints have been lodged to Hill Tribal Council, Moreh on their disappearances after both left home along with president of Kuki Chiefs' Association, Chandel Nethang Haokip on the mentioned midnight.
When posers were raised by the media team, the wives revealed that the latest information conveyed to them concerns a telephonic calls by the husbands that are at the custody of the UKLF and as such the HTC and subsequently the 31 Assam Rifles authorities were intimated.
Semjathang Haokip's ailing father Paojathang (80) also reminded that he had already apprised HTC functionaries about his son being taken away by Nethang haokip.
Meanwhile, Hoikhotin and Vaichin fervently appealed to all concerned to ensure safe and early release of the husbands on humanitarian.
