Imphal, May 09: SOME VILLAINOUS persons of the Kuki tribe are colluding with the AR of IOF to eliminate innocent people including Meiteis, the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) charged.Ksh Yoiheiba, Senior Publicity Officer, Department of Publicity of the banned UNLF, in a press release stated today that as far as the party is concerned, some wicked persons of the Kuki tribe are hand and glove with the AR and plotting to kill innocent Meitei people. A number of Meiteis had been killed at Moreh, Saikul and Churachandpur under such plots, Yoiheiba stated.
He further alleged that these persons, not only try to drive the Meiteis out of Moreh, have also settled in the valley and Meitei Langol areas where they are colluding with the AR and killing innocent people. Among their victims were innocent people of Naga and Kuki tribes too.
Warning that these wicked people could join the state force and start a secret campaign of killing a number of Manipuris, Yoiheiba appealed to the people to remain alert from the AR and these bad persons of Kuki tribe.
He asserted that the party will join hands with like-minded Kuki organisations and identify those black sheep who are the enemies of the people and the society and try to destroy them completely. Yoiheiba in his press release further pointed out that such a handful of bad persons of the Kuki tribe, who do not know their own brethren, will not be able to carry out their agenda. To the contrary, it will only be self destructive to them, the UNLF warned.
In the meanwhile, the press release stated that Oinam Kabichandra @ Muthi mentioned in the news “Body identified” published in the newspapers today is an ex-MPA No. 0894 Pte Oinam Chingthouba @ Kabichandra @ Muthi, son of O Nillachandra of Pishum Oinam Leikai.
He joined the MPA in the BMT batch 15 and worked for about two years and was given retirement on his personal grounds. He lived a simple civilian life for a long time, and got married and had a daughter.
He was arrested from near his house, but the AR’s story that he was killed in an encounter at New Shizang near Moreh by 31 AR and that a gun had been recovered from him is a complete lie, Yoiheiba stated.
It is a part of the conspiracy systematically and intentionally set up by the AR to eliminate the Meiteis, Yoiheiba charged and added that thus the claims of killing at Moreh after having arrested in Imphal are too many.
Thus, in one of such killings, the report of a man being allegedly killed in an encounter at Lokchao by 31 AR which was published in the newspapers on March 8 last was also an ex-MPA No. 0109 Thangjam Iboyaima @ Paikhomba, son of Th Chandra Singh of Nongpok Keithelmanbi.
He had also retired from the MPA some ten years back and got married and had children. The AR had arrested him from Wangkhei in Imphal East district but claimed to have kill him in an encounter at Lokchao on Moreh road.
It is suspected that a person who shared contract works with him might have instigated the AR to kill him, the press release stated. This is also just a matter of time, the people will come to know the truth sooner or later.Since his retirement from the UNLF/MPA was done in untenable circumstances, the party did not inform the people about the murder through the media in time, Yoiheiba revealed. But now it has become necessary to clarify every claim made by the AR through the newspapers so that the people will get to know the real face of the AR who can be hired to murder people, he stated.
On the other hand, it will be useful for the people to try to find out the secrets behind the incident of abduction of Khwairakpam Megha (34), son of Kh Pishak of Liwa Naorem Leikai by some dacoit commandos within the state police commandos on May 6 and the claim made by 31 AR that he was arrested by them on May 8 at Moreh, Yoiheiba stated.
