The opening function of the annual meet was graced by Chandel A/C MLA Thangkholun Haokip, ADC Chandel Chairman Lukhosei Zou, Vice-Chairman Langhring Anal and ADC Chandel executive members Khuplen Haokip and Songjang Paosei as presidium members.
The annual meet which would feature competitions in different sports events like football, volleyball and track and field events would continue for four days during which teams representing 15 different clubs of Pansang area would be vying for top positions.
The opening ceremony was marked by presentation of traditional dance and music programme.
The first match of the football competition was played between Aimol Khullen and Aimol B.
