Two new KVs to come up in NE region

New Delhi, Dec 2(PTI): Government has approved a proposal for setting up Kendriya Vidyalayas at the campuses of two universities located in the North East region.

While a new KV would come up at the campus of Mizoram University, the other one will be opened at the National Institute of Technology, Agartala.

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan had earlier written to the Central Universities to furnish suitable proposals to set up KVs at their campuses.

Two feasible proposals were received from these universities. Thereafter, orders were issued for opening of new KVs at their campuses during the current financial year, sources in the HRD Ministry said.

The government had, in June, approved the opening of 107 new Kendriya Vidyalayas at a cost of Rs 527 crore.
