Aizawl, April 26: Mizoram police in close co-operation with 4th Assam Rifles personnel have arrested self style president of Zomi Revolutionary Armed Force (ZRAF) on Saturday night at Champhai, southern township of Mizoram.
According to police, Chinsiandal (24) s/o Langtung, a resident of Heilei in Myanmar was arrested in Champhai after intelligence after a tipped-off from a source.
Chinsindal is accused of extorting money at various bordering villages of Myanmar and even in Mizoram. Police recovered one local made .22 pistol with 3 cartilages, Myanmar currencies. However, the police could not arrest other members who accompanied Chinsindal.
The police have launched search operation but no further arrests were made till the filing of this report.
