Lamka, Jan 29 : During a press interaction on the Kuki Idol NE - I, 2009-2010 today at TC Cable News Office located at Chiengkonpang, Organisers express regrets over the inadvertent mistake committed while announcing the final result of the competitions on the night of Jan 27 last at Royal Academy campus.
Spokesperson of the organisers, Khaipau president Kuki Innpi, Churachandpur said on the night when the result was declared it was announced that the rank number 2 position holder was declared as rank number 3 due to an inadvertent mistake.
He reiterates the correct result is Thangtinlien is Rank number 2 and Sei Haokip Rank 3 .
The Kuki Idol competition ie Singing Competition drew great attention since it commenced way back in 2008, particularly among the singer artist hailing from Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam NC Hills as well as Tripura, he said.
The 2009-2010 version of Idol competitions had started on the December 8, 2009 and was contested by 109 artists and come to its conclusion on the night of Jan 27 in a grand function very well attended by people.
He said the audience on that evening was anywhere close to 10 to 15 thausands.
This year LR Ruata Khohreng from Darchawi of Tripura was winner of the Kuki Idol and bagged an amount of Rs 1 Lakhs as prizes with nine others winning a consolation prizes of Rs 10000/- each as prizes.
They had undergone Six Rounds of test on final day of the competitions.
They were shortlisted from 109 contestants .
The concluding function ended at about 2 am and was attended by Dama Vaiphei special contractor, Thiena Touthang social worker , Helien Kipgen social worker and Benny Touthang in various capacities and donated Rs 1.6 Lakhs altogather to the organisers
