Mokokchung, May 26 (MExN): The Concerned Citizen’s Forum, Mokokchung has expressed its concern over the Naga-Meitei relationship. In a release, it stated: “…it is unfortunate that after centuries of peaceful co-existence between the Naga and the Meities, today the government of Manipur and the Meitie brothers are being used as a proxy hand against the Nagas by the Government of India.
“It would be wise to remind one and all that Naga - Meitie relationship have always been on the bases of the history as such it would be wrong to deviate from it. At no point of time Nagas have interfered in Meitie’s affairs and we do not wish any elements/communities to meddle in our affairs.”
In relation to that it has called upon the government of Manipur and the Meities to exercise its good wisdom in order to restore the “good neighbourly relationship” for the interest of all.
