Trinamool Congress launches campaign

Imphal, March 23: Manipur Unit of All India Trinamool Congress, which was recently opened here, will contest the Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections that may be held sometime in May in more than 100 seats, and has launched its campaign today.

A function to launch the party's campaign was held at Motbung bazar in Sadar Hills today. Former Chief Minister of Manipur and Convenor of the Manipur Unit of Trinamool Congress, RK Dorendro, chairman of Motbung Village Authority SL Lamthang, former Ministers Haokholal Thangjom, K Tomba, M Tombi and aspiring candidates Thangyou Kipgen and Nehgin Haokip, etc. were present at the function.

Speaking at the function, RK Dorendro announced that the party would field more than 100 candidates in the ADC election, for which the party is making full preparations.
