“The woman who creates and sustains a home and under whose hands children grow up to be strong and pure men and women, is a creator second only to God.” —Helen Hunt Jackson
My mind runs wild as I ponder on what to jot down in this write up. Its not that I have nothing in mind, but rather which one. Yes, mother’s day comes and goes. But their memories linger and remain...
The occasion of Mothers’ Day is extraordinary for all of us. It’s time to love, kiss and hug the most precious creation of God – our Mom! All through our lives, we love to put our heads in the lap of our mothers, unmindful of our age and position. For her, we always remain the small kid even though how grown-up we might seem in our own eyes.
Our Mother is the best gift of God. She is an angel, which protects us from all the evils of the world and gives us a secure shelter in her lap whenever we feel stressed and insecure. Irrespective of how we look or behave, our mother showers us with all possible love and blessings in the world. Despite how successful we become, she can't ignore her little concerns for us. Though she is a guardian angel to us, we hardly ever get an opportunity to thank her for lending us a shoulder to cry, a lap to rest, hands to catch hold of us whenever we fall. She is our dearest pal and our best companion ever.
A mother also occupies the most important place in the life of a child. She is the one who brings a baby into this world, teaches her child how to live the perfect life and is always there in every moment of happiness as well as sorrow. The importance that a mother holds in her child's life can never ever be taken over by anyone else in this world, even a father. For all the love and care that she bestows on her children, a mother never expects anything in return. However, it is the responsibility of us to make our mom feel special and tell her how crucial a role she plays in our life.
Our mothers might not be a well-versed with all the latest happenings around the world but with their wrinkled skin and shabby dresses, she is still that someone who shapes and nurtures us in the best possible way she could.
I rejoice that in a world of abused and abandoned children, I had a mother who loved me, nurtured me, and taught me right from wrong. All that I am or ever hope to be, I owe it all to her. She is always my constant source of inspiration. My mothers’ prayers still linger on and have always followed me. They have clung to me all of my days.
Today as we all celebrate our mothers, let’s always remember that our love is the only gift she ever really wanted. Saluting all the mothers who have done their part in molding their children in whatever way they can and also thanking all the fathers for holding and making them so dear and special for him and their children alike.
