CM’s apology for misconduct at press meet

GUWAHATI, March 2 – Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today apologised for his ‘misconduct’ at a press conference here on February 19 last.
Addressing a press conference here this afternoon, Gogoi said, “I apologize for my misconduct last time.” He said that he was a little overpowered by emotions that day and what he had done, should not have been done.

It needs mention here that the Chief Minister while answering questions from the newspersons that day on the NC Hills Autonomous Council scam involving politicians and terrorists, wanted to leave the press conference midway in a fit of anger.

The particular question that perturbed him that day was on the CBI enquiry suggested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into the irregular financial deals that took place in the district.

However, later, reason prevailed upon him and the Chief Minister answered other questions of the newspersons on other issues.
