Dimapur, February 22: After a year’s stalemate, the next round of talks between the government of India and the NSCN-IM will be held on either March 2 or March 3 in New Delhi. In this connection general secretary of NSCN-IM Thuigaleng Muivah will land in New Delhi on February 27 from Amsterdam.

Highly placed sources from the NSCN-IM informed Newmai News Network tonight in Dimapur that Th. Muivah will be arriving in India on the invitation of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh.Prompted by this development NSCN-IM functionaries will be leaving Dimapur for New Delhi on Tuesday for the preparation of the "ground work".

Sources further disclosed that the NSCN-IM leaders based in Nagaland who will be participating in the March 2 talks will also be leaving the state for New Delhi in the next few days.

It is pertinent to note that the last round of talks between the NSCN-IM and the government of India was held in the 2009 March which resulted in stalemate. Few months ago the government of India through the Union Home Ministry had invited the Naga outfit for holding talks but the latter group turned down the invitation on the ground that it was wrongly channelised. According to the NSCN-IM, the invitation for talks should be from the Priministerial level or for that matter, from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
